Just Search is a UAE business discovery directory and business-profile platform. This policy describes the information we process when you search, sign in, submit enquiries or reviews, register a business, and use related website and mobile-app services. It is intended to be read consistently with applicable UAE data-protection requirements, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 concerning the Protection of Personal Data, where that law applies.
Location permission is optional. A business can see an enquiry that you choose to send to it, but it does not receive your precise device location merely because you browse nearby results. Google sign-in is used for authentication, not for accessing your Gmail, Drive or contacts through the sign-in flow.
1. Who is responsible for this policy?
“Just Search”, “we”, “our” and “us” mean the operator of the Just Search directory at justsearch.ae. The operator's contact details are provided at the end of this policy. If you access a separate website or mobile app belonging to a listed business, that business may separately control its own website or app data, and its own privacy notice may apply.
2. Information we collect
Account and sign-in details. When you create an account or sign in, we process information such as your name, email address, account identifier and authentication/session information. If you choose Google sign-in, we may receive your Google account name, email address, profile photo and a sign-in identifier, depending on the permissions you approve. Password authentication and Google sign-in may be provided by our hosting or authentication providers.
Business listings. Business owners or authorized representatives may provide a company or trade name, contact details, address, category, business description, products, services, prices, photographs, opening hours, website or app links, and verification or registration documents. Approved profile details intended for public display may be visible to visitors. Internal verification documents and payment/administrative records are not intended to appear on public profiles.
Search, location and usage. We process search terms, pages viewed, approximate location when available, clicks on business links and buttons, and browser or device/session information used for service operation, safety and aggregate statistics. When you choose “Use My Location” and grant permission, the browser or app can provide your device's precise coordinates so we can show nearby results. You can refuse or revoke that permission through your device/browser settings and search by emirate or area instead.
Interactions and content. We process the ratings, reviews, images, enquiries, messages, coupons and other content you choose to submit. Enquiries you send to a business are shared with that business so it can respond. Published reviews may show the display name and rating you submit, and businesses may publish replies.
Orders and support. For paid listings and digital packages, we process package selections, order amounts, payment status, transaction references, invoices, support correspondence and delivery status. A payment provider may separately handle payment credentials according to its own privacy terms; please do not send card numbers or passwords through enquiry forms.
3. How and why we use information
- To create accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions and protect the service against misuse.
- To publish approved business profiles, show relevant search results and display nearby locations when you enable location access.
- To deliver reviews, enquiries, offers, user preferences and other features you request.
- To administer business registration, package orders, verification, customer support and separate website or mobile-app delivery.
- To provide businesses with statistics such as profile visits and clicks, using session-based or aggregated measures rather than revealing an ordinary visitor's precise location or identity.
- To meet applicable recordkeeping requirements, respond to legitimate legal requests, investigate abuse and enforce our Terms.
- To send service-related messages; promotional messages are handled under applicable requirements and your available choices.
Where applicable law requires consent, we seek it; in other cases processing may be necessary to deliver a service you request, comply with legal obligations, or for another basis permitted by applicable law. A browser's location prompt is separate from other choices about account information.
4. Google sign-in and Google user data
If you choose Google sign-in, the information obtained through that sign-in flow is used to identify you, create or connect your Just Search account, provide access and help keep the service secure. Google sign-in alone does not authorize Just Search to read your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendars. Any future integration requesting additional Google data would require separate authorization and corresponding disclosures before use.
We do not use data received through Google sign-in to sell personal information or to build advertising profiles. We share sign-in data with our authentication/hosting service providers only as needed to operate the account, or as otherwise required by applicable law. You can manage or revoke a Google connection in your Google Account permissions; revoking it may affect your ability to sign in that way.
6. Location and nearby search
Precise location is requested only when you activate a location-based feature and permit device/browser access. We use it to calculate distance and help find businesses around you. Search results and distances may be approximate and depend on the accuracy of device coordinates and business-supplied locations. Home-service businesses may be shown based on their declared service areas rather than their office address. You can search without granting precise location.
8. Retention, security and international processing
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including active accounts, business listings, necessary security records, legal recordkeeping, payments and dispute resolution. Different data may have different retention periods. Deletion from an active interface may not immediately remove material in lawful records or backup systems.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe an account or listing has been compromised, contact us using the details below. Our service providers may process data in jurisdictions outside the UAE; where applicable, we assess and apply the requirements for such transfers.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and appropriate identity or ownership checks, you may request information about your data, access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent, objection or restriction where available, or information about relevant sharing. Business owners may request correction of their listings; they may be asked to prove authorization to represent the business. Certain data may need to be retained for a lawful reason even after a deletion request.
To make a request, email info@justsearch.ae with “Privacy Request” in the subject and a description of what you would like us to review. Do not email passwords, payment-card details or identity documents unless we specifically request a secure verification method.
10. Children
Just Search is a general business directory, not designed to solicit personal information from children. If an account or transaction legally requires an adult, the user must be an adult or act with any consent required by applicable law. If you believe a child has submitted personal information inappropriately, please contact us.
11. Search, classification and automated features
Just Search may use automated rules, ranking logic or AI-assisted tools to organize categories, suggest business types, rank results, detect duplicates, moderate obvious spam or improve discovery. These systems support the Platform but do not constitute legal, professional, financial or regulatory advice and do not replace independent verification. We do not use ordinary directory ranking alone to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about an individual.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the platform, service providers or applicable requirements. We will publish the revised version here with its updated date and provide additional notice where required by law. Materially different uses of information may require further notice or consent.
